PSAs and Commercials

Television has provided a way for organizations to promote their campaigns through public service announcements and commercials. Here are some examples.

I think we’re all familiar with this angry Rachel Leigh Cook:

The Truth anti-smoking campaign takes a walk on the sunny side:

In this Peta Ad, Alicia Silverstone reveals all…her feelings about vegetarianism:

This one is pretty disturbing:

    Haha, some of these ads are successful for being over the top, but in my opinion, the least successful ads happened in the 80’s. The original “this is your brain on drugs,” Pee-Wee, even the GI-Joe PSA’s couldn’t effectively stem the tide of the drug boom of the 80’s. The most disturbing one from the nightclub, above… probably would have been effective purely from shock-value, if broadcast in the US.
